Lets Go For A Walk...
By Judi Arbogast

Kingwood , the name inspires images of the supremacy of nature.

The livable forest residents enjoy the privilege of accessibility to miles and miles of greenbelt trails meandering through the many villages that make up the unique, nature loving community.

The greenbelt trails provide the perfect setting for commuting with nature while walking, jogging, bicycling, or simply the serene beauty of the livable forest by sitting quietly on one of the many benches situated along the way. River Grove Park, one of five extensive nature areas available to Kingwood residents features soccer fields, a boat ramp, pier, picnic facilities and a play ground.

Creekwood Nature Area, located in Bear Branch Village, provides a wonderful opportunity to hike and explore natural habitats and possibly even catch a glimpse of the areas abundant wildlife.

Horseback riding enthusiasts enjoy Trail’s End Stables in Deer Ridge Park. This park also features basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts as well as baseball fields which are leased by various sports organizations. An abundance of baseball fields are the attraction at North Park Park while River Grove Park is dedicated primarily to numerous soccer facilities.

The newest addition to Kingwoods collection of nature areas is East End Park located at the eastern end of Kingwood Drive. This area can be enjoyed in its pristine condition
